The Session

Once your session is booked, we will have a pre-session consultation to discuss location, wardrobe, and the overall mood of the session. This is the time to think outside the box and get creative, if you want something specific, let's try it. Feel free to bring along props or toys that might add a personal touch to your photos. We both have a vision for your keepsakes so lets make sure we're on the same page.  My vision isn't complete unless you're 100% satisfied.

Our sessions will be relaxed and fun, there is no need to rush!! Together we will take as much time as needed to create precious keepsake moments for your family to cherish. On average,  a session will run 90 minutes to 2 hours,  but I always plan for a little extra time in case those smiles need a little coaxing.

First we will spend some time chatting, I might play fun games or sing silly songs if the little ones are shy. Once, I arrived early and hid starburst in secret locations so I could ensure a smile when the little treasures were discovered. Just know, I'm not above complete embarrassment to loosen everyone up.  Sometimes I will direct you into a certain pose but expect that at other times I will step away with a longer lens to allow you time to interact normally (play on the swing set, blow bubbles, chase birds, or feed ducks by the lake) while I capture your family's natural essence!! Just a side note,  so we can avoid those "Cheesy Smiles" please try to avoid telling your little ones to say cheese, natural is best... I promise!!

After our session, and within two weeks, I will prepare a minimum of 20 High Resolution, fully edited proofs for you to view in a private online gallery. From the proofs we can discuss your print options or you may choose to purchase a digital copy of your images. I will provide a collection of 10 free digitally watermarked files so that you can proudly display your photos to social networking sites.  As a professional courtesy, I kindly ask that you please refrain from cropping or altering your digital files in any way, doing so is a copyright infringement.

I look forward to working with you,
